Milestone achieved — Successful pressure test at the Stuttgart Münster Waste-to-Energy plant
Zu allen NeuigkeitenOn November 5th, the pressure test of the steam and condensate system of the heat exchangers retrofitted at the Stuttgart-Münster waste incineration plant was successfully passed. The test pressure was 154 bar and was maintained for 60 minutes. The pressure test was conducted in the presence of the notified body and EnBW and confirms the high quality of our technical execution.
This result is part of a comprehensive modernization at the Stuttgart Münster waste-to-energy plant. The gas burners previously used to heat the flue gases were replaced in this project phase by two steam gas preheaters and a supplementary water gas preheater. The aim of this measure is to significantly increase process stability and plant efficiency, as well as to significantly reduce CO₂ emissions by eliminating natural gas consumption for flue gas heating upstream of SCR.
The installation took place in a highly demanding existing environment with tight schedules. The work took place partly during ongoing plant operation and partly during a planned shutdown. Throughout the entire construction phase, this required not only precise and highly flexible construction planning, but above all continuous, structured, and responsive communication between all project participants as a key prerequisite for smooth processes.
We would like to thank the entire team for their tireless efforts, quick problem-solving skills, and high level of professionalism. This milestone demonstrates that we deliver technical expertise and integrate sustainable solutions for plant optimization into complex existing structures.
With this momentum, we are now entering the final project phase (commissioning) and look forward to bring the project to a successful completion.
